The Ride- Available Now

February 17, 2015

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by my new blog.  My new book, The Ride,  is hot off the press!  I cannot wait to tell you more about me, my passion for children's books, my latest book, and so much more.

The Ride focuses on overcoming obstacles of all sizes in your life.  We all encounter obstacles such as doubt, worry, fears, and so much more.  The Ride encourages children to include God when facing these tribulations.

It is comforting to know there is no problem too small for God.  The Ride demonstrates God's desire for children to include Him in their everyday journey on this ride we call life.  In the book, Olivia's faces the challenge of learning to ride a bike. She fabricates several excuses to avoid riding, and eventually turns to the Lord in prayer.

The person who has been a key influence in my walk with the Lord is my mom.  As a child, she taught me key Bible verses and phrases in unique way. I did not even realize I was memorizing scriptures.  We said the same fundamental scriptures or phrases every morning, as we were getting ready to leave for school.  One verse, in particular always gave me hope, faith, and courage to face the challenges of life. It was   Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  This verse empowered me with the courage and faith to face life's curveballs.  Since this verse has been such an instrumental part of my life, I felt the desire to share it with children today.

Kim Felts is the illustrator for The Ride.  It was such a blessing to be given the opportunity to work with a talented artist, such as Kim Felts, on this project. The oil paintings were created with such expertise as to make you feel as if you are viewing a painters' canvas.  The intensity of depth and emotions these illustrations capture are truly amazing.

As you and your children read, The Ride I pray you all are encouraged and inspired!
